(help) creating a banner

hey guys... well i need some help again:haha: hehe anywayz this time its for thoes photoshop pros ... and no it's not for my signature or avatar... it's just that i've just become the webmaster of my badminton clubs website and i'm upgrading it to a flash website... and basically i need to "jazz up" the banner and logo.

if you can try to include the file i've attached but preferably i would rather have this

basically for the banner i want it so that the "activ sports" as it is with the chinese above it but larger. but forget the link underneath it...the background is in black, the text colour is in blue and then from the link from istock one on each side facing inwards in red if possible

please help me hehe

any special effects or recommendations please fire away!
