The concert date has finally been announced, Joey will be performing in at the new Fallsview Entertainment Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Sun, May 31 at 7 pm. Unfortunately she won't be performing at a Toronto venue this time. But still, Niagara Falls is easier to get to compared to Casino Rama. This show will be Joey's first Canadian show in 8 years, she had last performed at Casino Rama in 2012, prior to that she had a show at the Air Canada Centre in 2008.

 

This would make a great weekend trip for folks in the Greater Toronto Area to catch some fresh air then see the show at night. Similarly, any Joey fans from the Buffalo / Western New York area could easily make the trip too, be sure to bring a passport!

Tickets start at $65. They will be on sale at Fri, Feb 21 @ 12:00 pm EST. The fan club presale starts at Wed, Feb 19 @ 10:00 am EST (no details on this yet)

Hi everyone! Because Joey's world tour includes several Western cities, we decided to open up the forum temporarily. Thanks Hairball for doing this! 

Joey's world tour kicked off this January in Macau, although it was a private concert. However, Joey had commented on instagram that she will do a public show in Macau in the future.

Which ones do you plan on going to? I went to Hong Kong and I am soooo glad I did! That stage design with the ball isn't gonna be replicated anywhere else. I got first row one night and touched her hand! And also got to meet other HK and international fans! I'm also going to Europe!

A recent incident involving singer Joey Yung has allegedly cost two music show directors' their job.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the singer, who was about to rehearse her own song after concluding her rehearsal with Hacken Lee for the "2014 Jade Solid Gold Selections - First Round", was interrupted by one of the directors, who stated that Joey's stage time will be cut short as the slot has been booked by Kay Tse's assistant.

Reportedly, the slighted Joey refused to return for the award ceremony by making an excuse saying that she was not feeling well. Her record label, EEG also initially pulled two other artistes, Vincy Chan and Ken Hung from the show, and only let them perform after a discussion with TVB.

However, rumour has it that Joey's action was actually a reflection of EEG's own true feeling about TVB, as the latter supposedly has been putting a high priority on Hong Kong's "Big Four" record companies (Sony, EMI, Warner and Universal), as well as its own record label, The Voice Entertainment Group.

TVB allegedly fired two of the show's directors in order to make peace with EEG.

When asked to address the issue, EEG's CEO Ng Yu said that the two companies have reached an understanding and expressed his hopes that such incident won't happen again.

Meanwhile, TVB producer Mak Jan Dung declined to comment on the termination of the two directors, saying, "The company makes all the decisions."
