in avoiding you, you can hear joeys voice very clearly, in the chorus second time you hear avoiding you shows her high and low capabilities and it sounds too beautiful. avoiding you sounds more of the classic song quality. the bridge is by far better than dull heart. then the background engulfs into a combination unlike it before. then she slowly and softly ends the song.

First of all... Joey doesn't sing avoiding anything like what she used to do. Her voice doesn't even sound like what she used to sound like on it. I dont know from what do you compare with it.

what i said here was that the song is more of a classic song as in it doesn't sound like todays pop to me. the quality of the song sounds older because of her voice.

"sounds more of the classic song quality" - yeah i know eh? classic K-song, just like many other songs that come out every year. The arrangement is very simple man. Too simple i should say.

things i question dull heart in comparison: dull heart starts of in the minor key, you dont see the whole repertoire of her musical range. bridge is nothing spectacular. then comes back with the chorus nothing changed that much basically. then she doesn't extend notes at the end.

what's wrong with starting on a minor key? o... it's not karaoke enough then i guess. On the contrary, I think Dull heart's repetoire is much better.

-The range of Dull heart is actually wider than avoiding you.
-The difficulty is much higher than avoiding you. It has fast transitions between voice registers/tones. Not even Hacken could sing it properly.
-The arrangement is much more complex, taken a lot more time to do, and is much more dramatic.
-The song goes through a variety of keys (4?) both major and minor
-It's much different from other songs.
-most importantly, the song fits with Joey perfectly.

i never said it was something wrong starting off in a minor key, but it doesn't connect well to me that should be her best song. yeah i know it goes through many changes in melody. dull heart is probably more complex from what you have said. but i like joeys simplicity. your last point can only be taken subjectively.

when you first begin with each song, i like avoiding you's musical tune. cuz it is a great compromise to the song.

in avoiding you, the background music doesn't take over...you listen to her voice in avoiding you so softly and it shows more emotion imo

also i think who will love me is tied with 1st with avoiding you...and painful love should be top 5 and last juliet will also eventually ascend to my top 10

who will love me like avoiding you has that monumental very heart-gripping ending to it that makes you wanna be drenched in tears. dull heart comes no where to making me cry. i was actually looking for the song since it wasn't one of the songs that stuck out for me before i noticed ppl talking about it
