My mom and I LOVE Joey ..... whenever I have Joey clips we also watch them together or read news articles together in the newspaper ... its this thing we have together ... we both admire her so much!
what are your parents' views of Joey?
i would find it weird if my parents liked joey as well. my dad thinks shes ok, not sure about my mom though. i cant imagine if they liked joey as much as me..like that would be so weird....

oh.. you're lucky.. well both my parents do not dislike her, but neither do they love her.. maybe they aren't that into c pop..
but my mom, out of all the singers right now, she prefers Joey over hocc.. and she's okay with Miriam as well.. as for my dad.. he doesn't comment much LOL, but tends to make me happy when he comments about Joey... (his comments = no comments because he's joking LOL)
yeah finding something to bond with your parents on is somewhat rare these days XD
my parents don't really care about me liking joey, but they think joey is the best female artist in hk as of right now (well...I just play joey's music so i totally brainwashed them LOL)....hahahaha
My mum listens to quite a large variety of music such as Chinese Opera, Alan Tam, Anita Mui, Sally Yip, Paula Tsui, Jacky Cheung and music from the 1940-60's. As you can see though, there's no one recent in the list. I recently bought the Lau Kar Cheung concert DVD and after my mum watched it, she said Joey sang really well and I was so happy!
I constantly play Joey songs in the house and in the car so I'm hopeful she'll succumb to Joey in the end!
If she doesn't I'll need to turn to more drastic and violent measures! :laugh2:
