well i dont mean that, like ppl just dont think shes that pretty sometimes, they see it as an entertainment industry and the singers have to sing well and look good. but we all know its not about the face, we are just a smarter generation i guess
Not much comment from my parents. They both think Joey dances really well (and they said that in 2000 o.o). My mum likes My Pride and my dad likes Dull Heart hahaha. They both think she sings good except for the breathing. Don't think they say that anymore though cause Joey has improved a lot on that.
my mom was the one that introduced me to Joey, and she knows all of her older songs (she isn't so much in to her newer songs though) and can sing along to them with me.
but den my parents don't like how i'm like obsessed though LOL. and though they don't me listening to Joey so much, they still stand up and talk good things about Joey wen talking to other adults
my dad is more in to the older music, like 80's. my mom she really likes Priscilla, but she's more open than my dad to newer music. my mom doesn't like Miriam though LOL. if i find myself watching a Miriam concert on DVD, they'll be like "oooo, she's soooo off tune!" lol, dats the only time where i will feel bad and defend Miriam. but if its on a forum, i'll be like "Miriam is good, but i think Joey is better because........" hehe. but my mom still listens to Miriam songs if i recommend them to her.
my parents support joey, but tell me not to be too obsessed... so everytime i see them, i dont mention joey, unless they ask

lol my parents well.... my mom does not listen to chinese music... and my dad prefers the golden oldies

so to some degree I agree with your parents about "Joey's not that good"
loll..well my mom knows some Joey songs too and she really likes Dull Heart..so whenever Dull Heart is playing she just sings along xD. My parents are probably neutral but they do say good things about Joey ^^.
