Who's seen it?

I saw it tuesday, it's fricking awesome! ^^, I love the way V speaks XD. The issues in the story are scarily similar to today's society too... Love it ^^
I saw this last friday and thought it was so so. The acting was good, but the themes had been done so many times before...example BNW.

The movie was based on a comic, if anyone's interested you can d/l it here, but only if you have spare bandwidth (156mb...)

Heres an article with a comparison between the comic and movie

I found a link to the soundtrack if anyone wants it....

i've seen it. the pace is a bit slow, but entertaining for the most part. shockingly pertinent to today's world, considering the comic was published back in 1982. oh, and natalie portman!!!!! never thought i'd find a bald chick attractive, but i guess a 1st time for everything.
i told u all it was gd but none of u listened!
i watched it!!!!! it's awesome! even though the scripts are kinda hard to understand, the actions were quite good! i love v's introduction:

"This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-?-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

I had to check the dictionary so many times...lol
OMG THANKS silverhawk! I was looking to find that speech! hehe its awesome!
my friends and I had an in-depth discussion after watching this movie and we were wondering why this movie didn't cause a controversial issue since it's about terrorist and most of the protagonists were homosexual (since these subjects are very sensitive in the US right now)...this movie is very political, but it didn't cause a big deal like Brokeback Mountain...very weird!

there are a lot of movies that deal with more controversial issues, but since homosexuality is a social issue, it drew responses from all walks of life, not just political figures who quite frankly dont really care, its just a movie.

hmmmm van why do you watch films with portman in them

She's a Harvard grad. I find smart people very sexy!

Oh plus I love her performance in Closer. A charming performance from a charming lady. Big Grin

I haven't seen this movie yet but it's not something that would stir controversy. Even though it deals with a "terrorist" theme, it's not like any Michael Moore movies or anything . *RE* Which is a good thign.
