Joey and Hacken Lee are set for their first concert together on the 18th of this month. They went for their CRHK-organised Music Is Live concert rehearsal yesterday. Hacken, who along had never had a good relationship with this particular radio station , agree to this concert for two people, he says : "Firstly I've always wanted to work with Joey. Secondly, in the beginning of the year, Jan Lam shook my hand at the CRHK Awards and I felt their sincerity thus i was willing to move a step further." Hacken stressed he's not doing this for awards albeit agreeing to do the concert. He continued: "Doing the concert does not contribute to whether I will win or not. I dont feel that after I've answered this, the radio station will help me broadcast my song more. I think Leo Ku and Miriam Yeung will be the winners, and of course, I do hope Joey get the award again!" As for Joey, she also thinks Leo and Miriam will get the top awards.
Joey, although a good singer herself, was baffled by singing Hacken's songs, claiming it's no easy cookie, she says: "I'm known to slip up my lyrics and I was practically dying when I was singing his I Dont Know How To Sing because the lyrics are so hard. We exchanged opinions and stuff but I wont be learning his 'throat trembling' technique. I'm learning to use my diaphragm." Since this is their first time collaborating, compatibility between them is yet to be seen. A pair of lovers meeting each other for the first time was Hacken's metaphor. When they are onstage, they are officially dating. Reporters joked that when they are offstage, they've broken up? Hacken laughed: "Dont you all want to know the next chapter of our relationship?"
